While looking through the quotes I have collected over the last few months trying to find inspiration for this blog, I decided to share those very quotations. If I need inspiration at this time perhaps you do too.
The year 2014 was not one of my favorites for some personal reasons and losses but also the state of the world seems worse than I can recall. So far 2015 has not been any better. My heart is heavy today, but perhaps these quotations will provide some cheer and perspective for all of us.
"It's both a blessing and a curse to feel things so deeply."
"Sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed and reorganized to relocate us to the place we were meant to be."
"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I ended up where I needed to be."
"I know we never get over great losses; we absorb them, and they carve us into different, often kinder creatures."
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
"Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness."
"You have to embrace getting older. Life is precious and when you've lost a lot of people, you realize each day is a gift."
"Kindness is not an act. It is a lifestyle."
"Don't look back...let your life be like a good book where you turn the page eager for the next part. You only need the memory to help you understand the next part of the story."
"What is success? It is being able to go to bed each night with your soul at peace."
"When one door of happiness closes another opens; but we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."
Neale Donald Walsch
"Knowledge is learning something every day. Wisdom is letting go of something every day."
"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living."
"But listen to me. For one moment quit being sad. Hear blessings dropping their blossoms around you."
Dedicated to our dear ones who are struggling or have left us.
